Kallen, and with appendix at rear of volume which presents key dates, family names and a bibliography. --- In Toledano spine 8 / green cloth / gilt titling on black spine & cover blocks / black topstain / grey Kent endpapers / jacket style h, verso lists 306 titles in ML catalog. Likely published c.1945 (no publication date appears in book). ML #114.1. --- With moderate discoloration to cloth and a hint of age-toning to leaves, else a clean, unmarked, tightly-bound copy. Fair-only dust jacket with several large open tears (including about a third of the front flap), chips along edges and a dampstain to spine area, otherwise mostly intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; 12mo (7 to 7-1/2 in. tall) ; vii, (2), 375, (8, ads) pages .
