Sobre este artículo
London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1912. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 8" by 5.5". H R Millar. An early edition of this illustrated children's fantasy novel from popular Edwardian children's author Edith Nesbit. Scarcely found in this impression, complete with numerous illustrated plates from prolific Scottish graphic artist and illustrator of children's books Harold Robert Millar. This fantasy novel, first published in 1904, is the second in a trilogy of novels beginning with the well known 'Five Children and It', and concluding with 'The Story of the Amulet', all with the same family of children as the central characters. In this novel, the children find an egg hidden in their nursery carpet, which swiftly hatches into the form of a talking phoenix.Edith Nesbit was one of the most popular children's authors during the Edwardian era, and is still perhaps best known for 1906 novel 'The Railway Children'.With publisher's advertisement to the recto of the half title. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Fading to the spine, with bumping to spine head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed
