Approx. 8" x 10" Arizona Mary was the only woman engaged in ox teaming at the time. She can be seen in the foreground at the right. The 8" x 10" photographs are uncommon. The original glass negatives are at the University of Southern California, C.C. Pierce (1861-1946) took the original images. While he is best known for his photography in California in the first decades of the 20th century, these three photographs show he was able to do very nice work in the rugged sections of Arizona in the 1890's.
