Woodcut allegorical or ornamental title devices, head- and tail-pieces, and initials. HARDCOVER, bound in handsome contemporary three-quarters calf and marbled boards, spine with raised bands between compartments, lacquered lettering-piece lettered and decorated in gilt, gilt embossed fleurons, all edges gilt; worming traces on both sides, first free endpaper removed. In fine condition. Excellent copy, beautifully bound and with crisp interior. ~ Rare first edition for both works. [NOTE:] We offer also, bound in one volume, Zückert's works "Diät der Schwangern und Sechswöchnerinnen. [AND:] Unterricht für rechtschaffene Eltern, zur diätetischen Pflege ihrer Säuglinge; [AND:] Von der diätetischen Erziehung der entwöhnten und erwachsenen Kinder bis in ihr mannbares Alter" (1767-71).
