Sobre este artículo
New York: A Studio Book, The Viking Press, 1959. Hardcover. Fine. Picasso, Pablo. Octavo size, 143 pp., in a custom binding. A handsome, austere custom binding of half leather, with the backstrip and fore-edges of leather over black paper boards.
Pablo Ruiz Picasso (1881-1973) was not only an extremely prolific artist but captured the imagination of the entire world with his co-founding of Cubism and invention of constructed sculpture; he would become, and likely remains, one of the best-known artists of the 20th century.
___DESCRIPTION: In a custom binding (binder unidentified) of half rust orange leather over black textured paper boards, black endpapers, replete with mostly black-and-white reproductions of photographs and Picasso's art; octavo size (9 1/4" by 7 3/8"), pagination: [1-5] 6-143.
___CONDITION: Fine overall, the leather smooth and supple, the binding clean and unworn, straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; some natural varieties in the leather and a minute spot of wear on the back board, else fine.
___POSTAGE: International customers, please note that additional postage may apply as the standard does not always cover costs; please inquire for details.
