One cover is detached. The remaining volumes had small spine nicks and tears, many reguled. Overall, it's about VG. Large 8vo. Profusely illustrated with wood engravings. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Wikipedia says this edition was published in parts from 1838-41 and that his non-standard spelling of "Shakespere" set a trend.
