Stated at prefatory page with ten commandments: "Entered according to Act of Congress, by A. J. Holman & Co., in the year 1873, in the office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington, D. C." Latest date found of 1877. Massive oversize 10 1/2" x 12 3/4" x 4 1/2" design weighing in at over 15 lbs. Smooth, tooled and embossed, dark brown conditioned leather boards with embossed foliar cover design at front and spine, moderate shelf, corner wear, nick, rub. Four raised bands at spine. Pages very good or generally near fine; several rich in illuminated color. Few with moderate discoloration; one found with open tear apprx. 1.5 x 1.5" at edge. Found four-leaf stem (likely larger than clover) in few places in volume; rather amazingly has not left mark or tanning. Also, a loose cloth bookmark or similar set in: "Esther".… Leer más
