Marbled endpapers. Steel-engraved frontipiece protected with a tissue-guard. Illustrated half title-page. Fascinating early biography of America's 7th President, profusely illustrated with numerous b/w steel-engraved illustrations (some being full page). Very minor edge wear to binding with joints and corners slightly rubbed. Some damp staining on first pages and on outer margin of some pages (not affecting text). Sporadic foxing throughout. Binding and interior in overall good to very good condition.
