Sobre este artículo

New York: The Pictorial Review Company, 1929. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Very Good. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Very Good, as noted. See scans and description. New York: The Pictorial Review Company, 1929. The February, 1929 issue of the extraordinarily scarce Pictorial Review, a collection of fiction, art and more by the specialists in those categories in the twenties. Folio - "bedsheet" size- at 13 7/8" tall; illustrated stapled wraps, 130 pp. Very Good; subscriber's label on cover, some light dust on covers, abrasion at spine, and several coupons have been excised internally. Nonetheless, a rather stunning tour de force of the skills of romance writers and romance illustrators, something simply not to be found in any form today. Art Deco, Flapper-ish Fashion, Vintage Romance Fiction moods prevail. There is even a paper doll page, in color, to be cut out and played with, still untouched. A notable editorial, "Why Not A Woman in the Cabinet?", appears front-and-center. Kathleen Norris; Mary Roberts Rinehart; Margaret Prescott Montague et al are some of the contributors, along with a host of skilled illustrators of the hard-workin' type at that time. Classic ads, many in full color, inspire nostalgia. Very, very scarce period publication. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course - not a bag. LG8
