Akron, Ohio: Saalfield. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. ©1943. Plastic comb binding. 28 cm. Red plastic comb binding with illustrated paper covered boards. The red plastic has twisted somewhat but the book still opens fine and lays flat. Some pages jut out from the front edge of the covers. Gift inscription dated 1945 on back of the front cover. A few minor soil spots to the inside pages. Dust jacket art repeats front cover. Jacket has some minor soil, and wear to the spine ends and corners. The spine is a little faded and creased. One small closed edge tear to front panel. Four sections of stories featuring dogs, forest animals, animals friends (farm animals) and cats. Full colour illustration opposite each page of text. An unusual format for Saalfield. .
