Originally published in German in 1985 as "Bilder einer Kindheit," this is the FIRST EDITION in English from 1986, translated by Hildegarde Hannum. Oblong hardcover is actually Near Fine, but downgraded to VG+ due to these flaws: 1) slight dust soiling to top outer page edges & a spot to bottom outside page edges, 2) ffep has been sliced out (photo 3), presumably to remove former owner's information/inscription. Otherwise, the book is exceptionally clean, binding tight & square, white pages.
