Images include the harbor entrance, courthouse, Lincoln Park pavilion, Drexel Boulevard, Adams Street, Aldine square, Garfield Park's lake, Grand Boulevard (packed with carriages!), Humbodt Park pavilion, Douglas Monument & waterworks crib in Lake Michigan, Lincoln Park bear pit, Jackson Street, Lake Shore Drive, Pine Street, State Street, north side waterworks engines, Dearborn Street, Madison Street, Chicago River with tall ships, Union Stock Yards, Chicago Trotting Park (race in progress), Great Fire, map of burnt district. 25 pages, all but the title page illustrations. Accordion fold in red hardcovers, gilt titling, black decoration. General wear, crease & light staining to title page, splits at some folds, but all still attached; spine lining badly chipped, which does not affect its integrity.. Later Edition. Hard Cover. Good.
