(USA) First Edition Oblong 8vo, blue patterned white bds reproduced from the paper sides of the booklet THE TRIUMPH OF VIRTUE by Guiseppe Albertinelli printed in venice in 1767, unpagninated. 27 full page etchings created by the ventian artist Tiepolo around 1750. It is reputed that he designed them in order to defend his artistic reputation: to prove that he could invent 24 pictures on the same subject without repeating himself. There is quite an effect of light, space and air in these prints which puts Mary in the costume of the 18th century and has the strangest palm trees I have ever seen.
