Light tanning on page edges. ; John Masters was born in 1947 in the small town of Midland, Michigan. He was raised by his widowed mother and stepfather. In 1968, John enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for three years. After leaving the Air Force, he attended college and earned a degree in psychology. In 1984, John and his wife, Laurie, moved to Hawaii to begin a new life. John began a new career as a therapist and began writing about his experiences. He wrote the book, Pilgrim Son, in 2003.; 8vo ; 396 pages .
