Wear to extremities (chiefly to head and foot of spine, spine label, corners and edges); slight stains, rubbing and browning to covers; previous owner's bookplate on front attached endpaper and rubberstamps on front and rear endpapers; previous bookseller's printed paper label on front attached endpaper; slight shaking to few signatures; slight internal browning and/or foxing (chiefly to edges and preliminaries, generally unaffecting images); still a very serviceable copy of a fairly scarce item.229 b/w photographs; 55 b/w Illustrations from Line Drawings.
