The memoirs of a remarkable man; a highly respected authority on highland piping with a committment to tradition and excellence in performance. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, John T. began piping at aged nine, enlisted in the Scots Guard and served in Africa, Norway and Malaysia during WWII. He was appointed personal piper to the Royal Household in 1946 and was later recruited as Pipe Major in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1952. Glossy, pictorial wraps. 176 pages with many B&W photos. Very slight edgewear. Appears unread.
