London: Henry Frowde, Hodder and Stoughton., 1913. First edition. Octavo. Publisher's original red cloth with colour pictorial onlays and titles in gilt to the upper board and spine. Illustrated with six colour plates. 327pp. A very good copy, the binding firm with a few minor marks to the boards and a little wear to the extremities. The contents with a contemporary previous owner's name to the half-title page, a couple of small splash marks to the textblock edge, and some scattered foxing are otherwise in very good order. A wonderfully illustrated early fantasy adventure novel.
