Third edition published in 1940 bound in red cloth with blue lettering . 8vo size, 314pp. A Very Good copy in a Very Good dust jacket. The bo ok's corners have mild bumps and tiny rub marks. The spine tips are li ghtly rubbed. There is one section of the text block, starting at page 192-258, that has turned a uniform brown. Only this section is browne d,the rest of the text is cream colored. The dust jacket has chips to the corners and along the head and base of its spine. Dust soiling to its spine and panels. J. Allen St. John frontis plate. .
Sinopsis
Pirates of Venus is the first book in the Venus series (Sometimes called the "Carson Napier of Venus series") by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the last major series in Burroughs's career. It was first serialized in six parts in Argosy in 1932 and published in book form two years later. The novel is set on a fictional version of planet Venus called Amtor that has similarities to Barsoom, Burroughs's fictionalized version of planet Mars.
