Sobre este artículo

London: Cape, 1923. First Edition. Hardcover. London, Cape, 1923 [first English edition]. Octavo, 255 pages. Cloth; flyleaves offset; slight impression (from a thick bookmark?) to the front flyleaf and the first ten leaves; top edge a little foxed, with a spot of foxing to the leading edge and the first five leaves; a few leading edges slightly ragged where poorly trimmed during production (or where, as a result, uncut portions have been carelessly opened); having said that, it appears never to have been read. First published in New York the previous year; this edition has a new eight-page preface by H.G. Wells. An important early work on birth control: 'Mrs Sanger with her extraordinary breadth of outlook and the real scientific quality of her mind ... has lifted this question from out of the warm atmosphere of troubled domesticity in which it has hitherto been discussed, to its proper level of a predominantly important human affair'.
