Volume has gilt edges and pastedowns with ornamental gilt borders. Flyleaves display darkened edges from gilt. All edges gilt. Text clean and without markings. Second Edition, Dec. 1929 [1st published in October] 8.75 inches tall. 1149 pages.. John Galsworthy OM was an English novelist and playwright. Notable works include "The Forsyte Saga" (1906-1921) and its sequels, A Modern Comedy and End of the Chapter. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932.
