The seminal two-volume collection of poems and sonnets by James Russell Lowell is a revision on the first edition of this collection published the previous year, and includes some omissions and additions. Bindings with some scratches, light stains and smudging to the covers. Heads & tails of spines, chipped and/or bumped. Extremities rubbed. Interior with the name of the previous owner in ink on the front free endpapers. Minor sporadic smudges and/or waters stains to some pages throughout. Starting at pg. 240 of vol.1, and pgs. 80 and 96 of vol.2. Bindings tight overall. Bindings in good- to good, interiors in very good- condition overall. * Name of Hellen Wall Pierson on the front free endpapers.
