Copy has prior owner's name and date (Christmas 1880) neatly inscribed on second front flyleaf. Boards are Dark Green, with embossed design around edge (front, back and spine), plus gilt lettering on spine. Boards have light wear at top and bottom of spine. Otherwise, boards and pages are clean, unmarked (except for owner's name as indicated), bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. Includes 184 pages plus 3 pages of lists of additional Tennyson Works. .

Prague: Borovy, 1927 This copy is number 459 of a limited edition of 600 copies. It has been nicely rebound in pebbled red cloth with the front cover bound in (see photos). Cover design on wrappers edition by Mrkvicka, 80pp., with five colored drawings by Sima. One of the most important publications of the Czech avant -garde in the 1920s.

First edition, with publisher's review slip tipped-in at the front. x,69 pp. Slim octavo, black cloth, gilt lettering at spine. A near fine copy; faint foxing to endpapers, and few spots of marginal soiling, else clean and crisp. In a dust jacket which is heavily foxed, being more apparent on the thin strip of white at the fold-in of the upper panel and on the white lower panel, shows light edgewear, and has a closed tear at the lower fold-in. Lowell's second book, containing "The Quaker Garveyard in Nantucket," it was greeted with critical acclaimn.

Small 8vo. 112pp. Yellow pebbled cloth, a little marked, handled and soiled, lettered and ruled in gold at the upper board and with a small gilt vignette of the sun. Blind rule to the rear board. Some spotting to the endpapers and, lightly, to occasional text leaves. Binding just a little tender in places. A nice bright copy. With the bookplates of noted bibliophile and bibliographic scholar Simon Novel-Smith and his wife Judith Adams. Fifty-one poems. Extremely uncommon..

A suite of ten loose folding sheets of 250gsm BFK Rives paper, with a poem to each verso and an etching to the adjacent recto, each signed by the artist, and housed in the original folding cloth-covered and blind-lettered portfolio with linen ties. A hint of browning and spotting to the extreme edges of several sheets, else a fine copy of a scarce and very elegant production, which includes signed etchings by noted Irish-Scots artist and Aosdána member William Crozier, and print maker Elaine Shemilt, plus Frances Caynes, Lorraine Dabin, Camilla Edwards, Richard Harvey, James Heward, Sarah James, Ruth O Dell and Andrew Smith.
