Sobre este artículo

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1904 (title page), with copyright date of 1920. Later printing circa 1930's. Octavo (9.5" x 7.25"), x, 199, & [1] pages plus 8 color plates by Maxfield Parrish. Publisher's black cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, with a large Parrish-illustrated pictorial label applied to the upper cover, in pictorial dust jacket which replicates the applied label. Pictorial endpapers, title page illustrated in color, top edge stained pale red.

Please note, given the advertisements for "Scribner Illustrated Classics" on the dust jacket, this edition is circa 1930's.

Binding lightly soiled, slightly toned internally, last leaf of text roughly opened causing small loss in the margin (printing unaffected), otherwise Very Good or better in dust jacket which is browned mostly at the spine, moderately soiled, with edge wear including a couple of nicks & small losses, still a Very Good & unusually nice example.

A really nice copy, particularly uncommon in dust jacket, which features the whimsical verse of Eugene Field, known as the "poet of childhood," & some of the most well known of Parrish's illustrations including "Wynken, Blynken and Nod," "The Dinkey-Bird," & "The Sugar-Plum Tree."
