Octavo (6" x 9-1/2") bound in half smooth green calfskin leather, with a gold-stamped label, and hand-decorated paper over boards; 354 pages. Selected, translated, and with an introduction by Louis Untermeyer. The text is set in Monotype Walbaum, employed here for the first time in America. With charming illustrations by Fritz Kredel, colored by hand through stencils in the studio of Walter Fischer. Copy #39 of 1500 SIGNED by the illustrator on the colophon page.
