Printed on wove paper with Van Gelder Zonen/Holland watermark. Introduction and notes by George S. Hellman. This small book contains 9 previously unpublished R.L.S. poems from the collection of Edmund D. Brooks. He made them available to the Boston Bibliophile Society for publication [in POEMS BY ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON, HITHERTO UNPUBLISHED, 1916], and in appreciation the SOCIETY agreed to provide Brooks "a few copies" of this separately printed volume "for complimentary distribution among his friends." This copy is bound in light tan paper-covered boards, printed in gilt on the upper cover, and is as described by Grove [in OF BROOKS AND BOOKS, pp. 58 & 77]. McKay says that 50 copies were printed, but describes a different binding of cloth-backed gray paper, printed in black on the upper cover [Beinecke 707, A STEVENSON LIBRARY]. This binding not in Beinecke. . First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good condition./No jacket.. 27pp..

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
