This is a handsome, antique copy of "The Poems and Plays of OLIVER GOLDSMITH." Circa 1880's (there is no date of publication stated, but the year '1888' is written on the front end paper); Hurst & Co.; New York. This edition features a frontispiece with tissue guard, and a few other full-page illustrations. Decorative cloth binding with gilt on the front cover and spine, and gilt page edges on all sides. Please see the photos for the complete list of contents.

Condition:
Clean covers and spine; sharp corners. Bright gilt on the front cover and spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Bright gilt page edges on all sides of the text block. The pages are age-toned and clean with only some light foxing at the outer edge of page 21, an old name written in pen at the top of the title page, and a small tear at the outer edge of the front end paper. There is an inscription written in pen dated 1888 on the blank back-side of the frontispiece. The tissue guard over the frontispiece has some foxing, and a few small tears at the inner edge by the spine. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
