With an introduction and biograhical information by Saxe Commins; index of first lines of poems at the rear. Volume wrapped in jacket with Paul Galdone front panel illustration of a man relaxing while reading. --- In Toledano spine G5 / pale green cloth / gilt titling & ML torchbearer on green cover & spine blocks / faded green topstain / blank GA endpapers / jacket style Ge / verso advertises 376 titles in ML catalog. Likely published c.1956 (though 1934 date appears in book). ML #G17.1. --- A slightly loosened front hinge has been repaired on this item; with mild age-toning to leaves, small cover corner bumps & slight discoloration to cloth, else an unmarked, sound copy. Unpriced dust jacket with creases, tears and chips, otherwise mostly intact and protected in new removable mylar wrapper.
