Sobre este artículo
London and New York: John Lane, The Bodley Head, 1901. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. Lady Margaret's second book, which includes the three "Nightfall" sonnets. Like Ramsay MacDonald, with whom she shared a passionate fifteen-year love affair, Sackville (1881-1963) was a leading pacifist whose First World War collection, The Pageant of War (1916), is regarded as a classic of anti-war literature. Inscribed on the front flyleaf by Sackville to Caroli Waldstein, whose armorial bookplate appears on the front pastedown. 12mo. Original paper-covered boards, with a printed paper spine label (a duplicate is tipped in at the rear). The spine is a bit darkened, with some scuffing to the spine label and a few small nicks along the extremities of the boards; else about very good.
