With original illustrations throughout the text by various Scottish artists including R. Herdman, Waller H. Paton and Samuel Bough, engraved by R. Paterson. Robert Burn's was an eighteenth century Scottish poet widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and a pioneer of the Romantic movement.With decorative gilt to the front board and spine. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, there is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The front showing has a short crack to the tail but is firm. There is some lifting to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional spotting. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
