Sobre este artículo

New York: Vantage Press, 1980. CD3 - A first edition (stated) hardcover book SIGNED by Betty Sullivan (first name only) and inscribed to previous owner on the front free endpaper in very good condition in fair dust jacket that is mylar protected. Dust jacket has 2" tear with chipping, peeling and crease on the front upper left corner, less than an inch tear with chipping, peeling and crease on the front top middle, some wrinkling and chipping on the edges and corners, scattered rubbing, scratches, and scuffing, light tanning and shelf wear. Book has some bumped corners and light edgewear, light tanning and shelf wear. 8.25"x5.5", 66 pages. Satisfaction Guaranteed. In her introductory epigram to this collection of verse, Betty Sullivan likens the written word to a pebble dropped into a pond, making circles. Just so, her poems cast vibrations that touch off other feeling-circles, which can affect all readers. Whether she is using the wry approach, as in "An Answer to Reilly's Requisites," or being straight-on dedicated to a worthwhile cause like "Conversation," or speaking of the longings of young girls (and if early dreams are fulfilled in this life!) - poetess Sullivan fashions strong "pebbles." And like the pebbles at the bottom of a pond, the poems come to us in various shades and sizes, which is a testament to virtuosity, and which makes Poetic Pebbles the kind of collection that never grows dull, and is always interesting and inspiring reading.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
