Containing Demeter, Prometheus the Firegiver, and Eros and Psyche, amongst others. As a poet Bridges stands rather apart from the current of modern English verse, but his work has had great influence in a select circle, by its restraint, purity, precision, and delicacy yet strength of expression. It embodies a distinct theory of prosody. Bridge's faith underpinned much of his work. With photographic monochrome frontispiece of the author. In a half-calf binding. Externally smart, with some light wear to the spine and a couple of marks to the boards only. Internally, firmly bound. Prize bookplate to front free-endpaper. Pages are mainly bright and clean, with just some scattered spotting to the front free-endpapers. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
