Sobre este artículo
London: Smith, Elder and Co., 1868. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7" by 4.5". None. A delightful six volume set of the poetical works of the esteemed poet, Robert Browning. Complete in six volumes. In beautiful uniform morocco bindings by Charles Tuckett, binder to the Queen. Robert Browning was an English poet and playwright. He is best remembered for his dramatic monologues which made him one of the foremost Victorian poets. His complex use of syntax, challenging vocabulary, dark humour and social commentary are several aspects his poems are known for. In full morocco bindings with gilt stamping to the spines and boards. Externally, very smart. Small amount of light rubbing to the head and tail of spines, joints and extremities. Spines have faded, as have the board edges slightly. Binder's stamp to the verso of front endpaper, Tuckett, binder to the Queen. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with the odd spots throughout. Very Good Indeed
