Gilt-blocked leather spine labels, which are lacking on some volumes. Gilt-tooled spine compartments. Raised bands. Spine bands and panel edges somewhat dulled and rubbed as with age. Bumped corners. Offsetting evident in each volume between the frontis. and engraved title page. Otherwise, text is bright and clean with just some slight yellowing noticeable in the margins. Remains quite well-preserved overall. ; 8vo 8"" - 9"" tall; 0 pages; Physical description: 12 v. : ill., fronts., music ; 18 cm. Edited by J.G. Lockhart. The title-pages are engraved. Illustrated by J.M.W. Turner. Place and publisher taken from engraved t.p. The date is given as 1833 for v. 1-7, 1834 for v. 8, 10-12. No date is seen for v. 9.
