Contemporary polished green calf with twin gilt borders on each board, gilt decorations to the boards' edges, spines in six compartments with gilt decorations and gilt lettering on a red and a brown morocco lable each; all edges marbled. Marbled endpapers and pastedowns. Bound by Bickers and Son of London. Each volume illustrated with a frontispiece and an engraved title page. Lowndes 1597. First published in 1840-1841, this is a beautifully bound later edition of Moore's poems. Volumes one and two with a discoloration to each front board, volume one with a strain to its front hinge, each volume with light foxing to the blank endsheets.
