A beautiful binding in the Arts and Craft style by Douglas Cockerell of W.H. Smith Bindery. Near fine condition. From 1905 to 1914, Douglas Cockerell operated the bindery at W.H. Smith & Son. In Hobsons "English Bindings", Cockerell notes that bindings signed with the WHS stamp during this period were specially designed by him 1st edition thus. Leather.
