Sobre este artículo

London: Henry Frowde, Oxford University Press, 1904 Hard cover, 12 mo, (4 3/4 x 7 inches), in blue crushed morocco with a single gilt border, 5 raised bands enclosing compartments with gilt titles and three alternating, slightly differing, pomegranate motifs, gilt dentelles, watercolor effect paste downs, signature to front pastedown, all edges gilt, gilt indentations decorating the head and foot of spine, tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait, and printed on very thin India paper. (xxxii), 976pp., in a two-column arrangement. Condition: Near Fine, with light age toning to the text. A few tiny closed tears to fore-edges of pages, including title page - please see photos. *** The work includes a biographical sketch by the editor, and is anthologized chronologically and has an index of first lines. The pomegranate iconography was a favorite of the Romantic poets and painters of this period. The editor describes this as the first authoritative "single volume of convenient size and modest price." This is a rare fine binding of this title. OCLC 34353436.. Oxford Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine.
