Sobre este artículo
New York: Dutton, 1962. First edition thus. Mass market paperback original in illustrated wrappers. Inscribed: "signed for George and Jean Reavey/ Larry Durrell/ an old friend". Very attractive, nearly fine, tight copy.
Reavey was a Russian-born poet whose father was Irish; educated at Cambridge he was closely associated with many writers of his generation including William Empson and Samuel Beckett (he was Beckett's first literary agent) and through his Europa Press in Paris he was his publisher. He lived for many years in the US, and is probably best known for his translations of a number of Russian writers.
