First publications from the original manuscript copies, included in the famous sale of Mrs. Browning's manuscripts to one Henry H. Harper. Uncredited introductory note, plus text of the address 'Elizabeth Barrett Browning: New Data' by H. Buxton Forman. One of an unspecified number of copies, printed on Van Gelder Holland paper, bound in half white vellum over brown cloth, upper cover stamped gilt, enclosed in publisher's double slipcases. Slight external wear and tape repair to slipcases; else an exceptionally well-preserved copy of a fairly scarce item.Decorative Title Vignette / headpieces; Few Musical Examples.
