Internally there is an indentation and a couple of small nicks to the head of page 43/44 which appear to have been made by something used as a page marker. Original slipcase in good condition with a little light rubbing and scuffing. In his long career, Michael Grant established himself as the foremost writer in the English language of books on the ancient world addressed to a general public.
