"The reminiscences so adroitly elicited by Mr. Behrman wander over Sir Max's life as a member of the leading literary and theatrical circles of the late nineteenth century, re-creating such figures as Shaw, Yeats, Kipling, Arnold Bennett, Winston Churchill, Oscar Wilde, Henry James and a gallery of others." -- dust jacket. Book is in Near Fine- Condition: cloth over spine and edges of boards is faded; clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good+ Condition: spine and edges are browned; chipping at ends of spine; slightly soiled.
