The total edition was limited to 1500, but this is one of the first 200 copies which are signed by both author and artist and bound in full leather. This no 157. Full red moroccan goatskin binding , contained in a card slipcase. Gilt lettering to spine and front board. Gilt image of salmon to front board. Aeg. Gilt decoration to inner dentelles. Oblong format, 10.25ins x 12.25ins, 112pp. Thirty seven colour plates within the text. Amongst the writers featured are Arthur Ransome, Lord Grey of Fallodon, Henry Williamson, T.H. White, John Buchan and Geoffrey Nickson. Prospectus for the book loosely inserted. When published this copy was priced at £150 compared to £40 for the ordinary edition.The slipcase is rather rubbed and worn but the book itself is in Fine condition.
