One of the evocative poems referencing Greek mythology and history by Alexandrian-Greek poet C.P. Cavafy (1863-1933), a favourite poet and subject of the incomparable printer Jack Stauffacher (1920-2017), done at his Greenwood Press.

With a reproduction of an etching by Giovanni Battista Piranesi of the Temple of Neptune at Paestum (detail), signed by Stauffacher at the colophon.

___CONDITION: Fine overall, clean and without edgewear; a very light horizontal crease at the top margin, else fine.
