In a good plus dustwrapper which has minor edge tears/chips and which shows some soiling to the rear panel. The wrapper is now protected in a clear, removable sleeve. Some end-paper foxing but otherwise clean internally. Pp.l,439. Described as contaiing "over eleven hundred recipes from old family MS. books, with a number of special additions on invalid and convalescent foods, etc." Uncommon to find such an early edition in such a nice dustwrapper. Blacket Books is the business name of Liz and Ian Laing, who have been selling second-hand and antiquarian books since 1985. We are general booksellers but with some emphasis on Scottish, military and childrens books, and modern first editions. We are members of the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA) and sell at book fairs throughout Scotland and the north of England. Our aim is to offer for sale worthwhile, collectable books at reasonable prices.
