Original brown suede (leather) with circular pastedown of girl's portrait. Short essays on various subjects. The binding appears similar to Caldwell's Rosemary Series of 1903. Gilt top edges. No writing. Cover pastedown is wrinkled and has edge missing. Short cover edge tear. Marbled endpapers, with front pastedown torn at head. 477 pp..
