THE TEXT PAGES ARE SECURE. lCity: LondonYear: 1676, Binding Style: HARDBOUND Pagination: xxxviii/388 pages plus 5-page index, Width: 5 Height: 7.5 Book. There is moderate external wear to the covers. The engraved second title page shows moderate foxing and toning. The pages show light age toning and scattered foxing, with occasional edge wear/loss. This book contains a wealth of legendary material, culled from a wide variety of sources, much of which is not readily available anywhere else. Published 1676. A historic edition worthy of special care and handling due to age. This book has been found to be rather rare. This book has a bookplate of a previous owner, Sir Archibald Edmonstone of Duntreath Bart. This antique volume has been rebound in dark brown full leather with stamped decoration and ruling on both covers. It has been recased with a later dark brown leather spine showing four raised bands and a dark red leather label with gilt lettering. There is moderate external wear to the covers. The engraved second title page shows moderate foxing and toning. The pages show light age toning and scattered foxing, with occasional edge wear/loss.
