Small nicks in cloth at spine ends, and light general soiling to the book. Both endpapers are a little darkened. A tight, square copy with strong hinges. Erratum slip tipped in at page 406/407; 630 pages plus two pages of ads at rear. Set partially in India, and partially in England.
