Easton Press. Collectible - Like New. Condition: Fine; Dust Jacket Condition: This is a Signed Limited Edition copy of Machiavelli's The Prince published in 2017 by the Easton Press. Bound in premium brown leather with gilt and red printing and decoration on covers and spine and housed in a slipcase lined in crushed velvet. Signed by the illustrator David Ho and limited to 1,200 copies. This is copy #157. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity. Frontispiece and 9 other full-color plates that are protected by translucent overlays. Text printed on heavy paper that is thread sewn. The book is in Fine condition without flaws. The slipcase has the frontis illustration mounted on it's cover and is in Fine condition with just a hint of rubbing on back. A wonderfully produced book. Please let us know if you would like photos.
Sinopsis
The Prince is a political treatise by the Italian public servant and political theorist Niccolò Machiavelli. Originally called De Principatibus (About Principalities), it was originally written in 1513, but not published until 1532, five years after Machiavelli's death. The Prince was one of the first works of modern philosophy, in which pragmatic ends, as opposed to teleological concepts, are the purpose.
