Lavishly illustrated with 44 color plates plus many b/w iillustrations. Beautiful large book. Printed in England. Bound in full red cloth with gilt trim design on front near spine, gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Clean, bright, unmarked, untorn. Tight and solid. Endpapers in burgundy and white wallpaper design. Frontis: in full color, full page illustration of The Prince Regent in Garter Robes, 1819, by Sir Thomas Lawrence, oil on canvas; verso of frontispiece is a plate of a Snuff-box believed to have been presented to the 1st Duke of Wellington by the Prince Regent. Jacket is clean and bright and unsoiled; not clipped. Upper corner has an irregular shaped piece tornout, lower spine end is chipped, edgewear on upper edge, a piece torn out along the upper edge from the spine around the back side.
