A fund raising book sponsored by Princess Elizabeth of York (ultimately Queen Elizabeth) in aid of the Princess Elizabeth of York Hospital for Children. Authors include Mary Tourtel (an early Rupert the Bear story), A H Watson, Elizabeth Bowen, Walter de la Mare and many others. Illustrators include Bip Pares, A H Watson, and others including most importantly two wonderful two page spreads from Disney, the first entitled "Mickey Mouse and His Retinue Arriving at the Party" and the second " The End of the Party : Mickey Mouse Takes a Photograph." The book is in lovely bright unworn condition. The now protected jacket has losses at he head of the spine and the lower front corner.
