The John C. Winston Co. Ltd. Toronto., 1937. First Edition.. Hardcover.. Near Fine/VG+. 8 3/4 x 6 x 1 1/4.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book interior NEAR FINE, Dust Jacket Very Good Plus. Book has blue cloth boards and matte gold lettering. Book has very very slight rubbing at spine and corners, and a small faint mark at top and bottom of front board. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED and has several tears and creases, but is bright front and back and has charming painting of Princess Elizabeth. Book is clean, tight, colour plate in front is loose from the binding but undamaged. Black/white and colour plates. Taped inside the back cover of the book is a newspaper clipping, no date, written before Princess Elizabeth’s 18th birthday in April, speculating whether an Earl and a Duke will marry Princess Elizabeth - interestingly, neither are Philip of Greece, her future husband. Also inside the back cover of the book is a loose newspaper clipping, no date, beginning “King George’s two daughters - for Princess Elizabeth is happily not, like Princess Victoria, an only child - are well-provided with teachers of special subjects........etc.”.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
